He is now a died in the wool fan. Toe tappin good music. Classic Earle. Little country with a load of rock. Loved this so much as a cassette, had to get it in CD and share with my husband.
Out of all the stuff I own from blues, metal, jazz, classical, country, and rock, this is one of the albums I listen to most. Steve has some pretty good rockers here in Copperhead Road and Snake Oil, but my favorite song is the Devils Right Hand. I love it. Steve's music is hard to define because he's done so many different things over the years but this, in my opinion, is his best. and Bob Dylan, chances are you'll like Copperhead Road. Simple lyrics sang with a simple arrangement: pure magic.
If you like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr. If you own one album from Steve Earle this is the one to have. What we find is a blend of country, folk, and rockabilly music that can't help but put a smile on your face. It's just got a certain appeal that I can't quite put my finger on.
Not bad, really, but a little short on personality. I really like this album overall, and there are several really good tracks, but overall it still feels a little garage-band-ish. The picture of Steve on the back, though, in sleeveless shirt and giganto-mullet, is pretty priceless.
The only song he had heard on it was Copperhead Road. After I listened to it, I had to borrow it too.Steve Earle isn't one of my favorite artists, but this is still a very good album. I got this album for my father for Christmas. However, he loved many of the other songs as well.
My husband loved this download for his MP3 he has shared it with everyone Thanks
